  Where is the Statement That JWs Should Follow the GB Even If They Think They Are Wrong?

  i am having difficulty locating the recent printed statement that jws should follow the gb even if they think they are wrong.

  would someone please let me know where that is?.

  david17: I might be getting off topic here. I don't think this is the article that JT is looking for. And I must say this article is a very poor and sad attempt by WT intended to welcome back not only inactive ones but also ones who have been disfellowshipped.

  In reading Luke 15:13 it says that the prodigal son among other things lived a 'debauched' life. The word debauched is synonymous with such words as bestialize, brutalize, debase, defile, fornicate, to live in the gutter, perverted, polluted, corrupt, degenerate, licentious and wicked. Yet, his old man (not the Elders and not through a JC), welcomed him back with open arms and even went so far as to throw a party for the wayward and sinful son.

  Any inactive and disfellowshipped one, today, will not receive anywhere close to such a welcome without first going thru an inquiry and reinstatement process (as in the case of disfellowshipped ones) and it will be months and years before the R & F are allowed to show any sort of attention to him/her. The welcoming back process, by comparison for the prodigal son it sounds like was instant, right away, on that very day!

  Harsh is the key word in your d'fing experience that most can relate to. The public humiliation is in itself difficult to ever recover from. This practice of d'fing IMO is a factor that is contributing to the organizations' ugly & well deserved reputation and hopefully to its' demise.

  it's 9pm over here, so good evening to those without the sun, and good morning to those who just got it from us.. i've been pretty aggitated with the needless demonizing of higher education from the wts.

  they make subtle gestures but their lawyers are too clever to let them say it directly these days.. but i was rereading the february 2011 awake magazine.

  i use my watchtowers and awakes for giggles on the can these days.

  Another fruit that the WTBTS eats from while at the same time discouraging the R & F from spending their time and resources on is technology and its' gadgets.

  Our CO told us that each of the GB members and each of their assistants have their own personal IPAD loaded with the latest Apps and other software. What hypocrites!

  the several threads on the literal 144,000 got me to thinking about this: it is getting pretty obvious that the literal 144,000 is at least getting very questionable and likely will not be able to stand long without a serious remodeling.

  Due to failed speculation the following quote from the Reasoning Book (pg 234 par 2) now requires major re-wording:

  "The present wicked system of things, which extends worldwide, entered its last days in 1914, and some, few, none of the generation alive then will also be on hand to witness its complete end in the 'great tribulation'.”

  i could see they were jws...i prayed & asked they would call here... but no!!!!

  The following is a quote from the "Bearing Thorough Witness" book page 114 par 15 to be studied this week:

  ".......In addition, Judas and Silas "encouraged the brothers with many a discourse and strengthened them." In that sense, the two men were "prophets," much as Barnabas, Paul and others were called prophets--a term referring to those who delcared or made known God's will." Acts 13:1; 15:32; Ex 7:1,2.

  The inference here is that the GB is calling themselves 'prohets'. If you have a copy of the book, take a gander at par 17 where, as we speak, the GB clearly compare themselves to Judas, Silas, Barnabas and Paul as prophets. Aye!
